Shoppers at the Japanese Daimaru store on its opening day at River Valley Road in Liang Court. Daimaru supermarkets exited the Singaporean market in 2003. Liang Court was a prominent mixed-use complex, famously known as a major hub for the Japanese expatriate community. It was a joint project between Goh Cheng Liang Group and Daimaru Inc. of Japan.
