Passing-out parade of officer cadets at Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) in Pasir Laba Camp. SAFTI was established in 1966 to strengthen Singapore's military force, six months after the country separated from Malaysia. This was when the first batch of female cadets graduated. For the first time, combat, service and women officer cadets and non-commissioned officers held their passing-out parade together.
