Twelve finalists for the Miss Deepavali Toray Sari Queen contest graced the stage at the National Theatre, donning saris specially flown in from Japan. Held on a Thursday night, the event was organised by the Singapore Indian Film Arts and Dramatic Society and sponsored by Japanese textile giant Toray Industries.
