Indians mark Deepavali with prayers at the Sri Thendayuthapani Temple along Tank Road, also known as the Chettiars' Temple. One of Singapore's oldest Hindu temples, it is dedicated to Lord Murugan - the Hindu god of righteousness and patron deity of the Tamil community.
