This calendar was designed to share the near forgotten history of the local racing scene in Singapore. Dating back to pre-independence Singapore in 1961, the Thomson Road Circuit was the cornerstone of local motorsports, where local homegrown racers raced alongside big international names. In the early years of the Grand Prix, the motorcycle race was the highlight of the event.
