A trishaw rider with his belongings after a huge fire destroyed houses in Geylang, 15 November 1963. The fire was fanned by strong winds and exacerbated by low water pressure, it rapidly destroyed hundreds of huts across Lorongs 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11.
