Popular Hong Kong-based driver Albert Poon receives congratulations for his second Grand Prix win on the Upper Thomson Road Circuit in his Lotus 23B, having previously won the Malaysia Grand Prix in 1963. The Singapore Grand Prix was briefly named 'Malaysia Grand Prix' from 1962 to 1965, then reverted back to 'Singapore Grand Prix' in 1966 following Singapore's independence.
