If not for the bird perched on the Sir Stamford Raffles statue by the Singapore River, visitors might easily pass by without noticing it. The statue was painted to blend with the skyline of the central business district as part of the bicentennial commemorations of his arrival. A small sign indicates the best angle to photograph the statue blending seamlessly into the background. (Dec 31, 2018)
