Let's drive to the cinema: Singapore’s only open-air drive-in cinema in Jurong drew about 900 cars on its opening night. Featuring a giant screen and individual speakers for each car, it could also host about 300 walk-in patrons. The cinema closed in September 1985. (July 14, 1971)
