The Pearl Bank Apartments, perched atop Outram Hill, was designed by local architect Tan Cheng Siong and built in 1976. At 113m and 37 storeys high, it was Singapore's tallest residential building when completed, offering panoramic views of Outram and the city. The development was well known for its distinctive, almost complete cylinder structure. (May 11, 2019)
