Akiyasu Motohashi (22) and Geoff Perry (10) followed by S. A. Saksono (14) manoeuvre The Snakes on Old Upper Thomson Road during the 1972 Singapore Grand Prix on the Upper Thomson Road Circuit. Yamaha rider Akiyasu Motohashi achieved the most wins on this circuit throughout its history with 4 wins in 1964, 1965, 1967 and 1968. Geoff Perry on his Suzuki bike would go on to win the 1972 and 1973 races.
