About This Image:

The Hindu version of Santa—Deepavali Thattha (meaning "Grandfather" in Tamil)—was introduced for the first time in Singapore by the "Krishna Our Guide" mission. Celebrated in a local, modern style, the mission brought festive cheer to children with blessings, sweets, and gifts at Perumal Temple on Serangoon Road.
